KV-S4085CW scans 80 A4 sheets per minute in portrait mode up to 300 dpi resolution, in simplex or duplex, in monochrome, grayscale or color. In A4 landscape mode the speed increases to 100 sheets per minute. Optical resolution is 600 dpi and the hopper capacity is 240 sheets (80 g/sqm). Intelligent paper feeding constantly checking and adjusting the roller pressure combined with innovative staple detection and ultrasonic double feed detection with 3 detectors ensures maximum throughput of mixed documents. For thicker and more rigid documents a straight paper path can be selected.
 
Image controls include Automatic De-skewing, Automatic Crop, Automatic Binary/ Color Distinction, Blank Page Removal, Multi Color Dropout, Smooth Background, Hole Removal, and more.
 
Other useful functions are Barcode detection (ISIS), Patch code detection, Automatic separation, Long paper mode, and more. Selectable functions like MultiStream output, black or white background, and long paper mode increases the versatility of the unit.
 
USB 2.0 interface ensures easy connection to most computer systems.
