Scan the Widest Range of Documents

No matter what industry you're in, we know you have to scan a lot of documents - including standard-sized invoices and bills as well as thin, long or even thick documents that can't make the turn through a traditional rotary path.  That's why we've outfitted Kodak Ngenuity with two paper paths.

Equipped with a rotary and a straight pass through paper path, Ngenuity scans a wider range of documents than any other scanner in its class*.  From EKG strips to card stock and photos to rice paper, Kodak's Ngenuity can accommodate the diverse paper needs of just about any industry.  The rotary paper path can handle most documents such as invoices, forms and contracts while the straight pass through path is ideal for very long or thick documents. 

Additionally, Kodak's Ngenuity  features special document modes that auto-adjust feeding and transport settings for very long, folded and fragile documents.

The Kodak Ngenuity's high-capacity feeder tray holds 700 documents — 40 percent more than other scanners in its class — helping you spend more time scanning and less time loading documents.

The feeder features Variable Feeder Tray Capacity control, which accommodates almost any batch size and is smart enough to remember and auto-adjust to your last batch size.  What does this add up to?  Freedom from preset limitations and time saved when loading and switching batches. 

Plus, with an unlimited daily duty cycle and speeds of up to 150 pages per minute (ppm) at 200 dpi in bitonal and color, The Ngenuity helps you get more of the high-quality digital images you need — fast.  With some components that have been tested to last up to 50 million scans, Bid Farewell to Multifeeds

We were the first to use Ultrasonic Multifeed Detection technology and with three independently controlled ultrasonic sensors on the Ngenuity  we're upping the ante to ensure that all of your documents are scanned correctly.

The improved "Multifeed Ignore" feature allows you to accept scanned images and continue scanning or preemptively accept an intended multifeed.  The "Ignore by Size" feature offers additional flexibility by allowing you to scan items such as taped receipts and sticky notes that the scanner might otherwise recognize as a multifeed and stop.

Connect with Ease

With a USB 2.0 port and cable, Kodak's Ngenuity makes it easy to connect to the PC and access much of the software and scanner functionality.  For those who need it, the  Ngenuity 9090C is SCSI ready as well.

Through the PC, you can access the Ngenuity Operator Utility, a handy tool that lets you track the total number of scans, monitor maintenance schedules and access cleaning menus. 

Plus, the Ngenuity  features a user-friendly interface with front panel functionality that offers easy access to frequently used features and includes two user-customizeable function buttons.  This way, you can customize the scanner so the features you need are at your fingertips.  All in all, the Ngenuity makes scanning easier than ever before.

Upgrade to High-Definition Images

The Ngenuity's SharpShooter™ Trilinear CCD cameras join forces with the scanner's white LED lights to produce high-quality digital images consistently.  The advanced camera technology delivers 600 dpi optical capture and output, while the white LED lights require no warm-up time, which means they're ready to scan and produce crystal-clear digital images the minute the scanner is turned on. 

This reliable image quality boosts, OCR, ICR and barcode recognition rates and ensures more accurate forms processing.  Plus, it minimizes the need for camera calibrations.  In fact, the cameras on Ngenuity only need to be calibrated 1-2 times per year.

We were the first to include VirtualRescan®(VRS) technology onboard our scanners, and we've done it again with Ngenuity.  VRS 4.2 Professional technology is built into the scanner's hardware.  This means you get all of the advanced VRS image enhancement features and error resolution tools, including more precise image cropping and advanced color management, which can improve image quality on documents scanned in color, without sacrificing speed.  Now, that's true Ngenuity.

The CCD cameras are protectively sealed and able to withstand dust and the occasional staple.  The scanner features rollers that last for 600,000 scans, long-lasting LED lighting and cameras that only need to be calibrated once or twice a year.

The Ngenuity's consumables, like the rollers, are easy to replace.  And since Ngenuity includes fewer consumables you have a lower overall cost of maintenance.

Optional accessories, like the imprinter with intelligent time and date stamping, are also simple for users to install.
