The Canon DR-X10C document scanner is characterized by robust construction and new innovative features. The speed of the Canon DR-X10C is 100 sheets per minute at 200 dpi in colour, greyscale, or black-and-white, simplex or duplex. New technologies, such as dust-free-scanning, double feed retry mechanism, dedicated sensor for document size and angle detection, etc. are adapted.

Superior paper handling of the Canon DR-X10C  document scanner is achieved by proven technologies such as ultrasonic double feed detection combined with new innovations like the double feed retry mechanism. When a double feed is detected the documents are returned to the feeder which retries separating them. A dedicated sensor is used for document size and angle detection and the unique staple detection function prevents forgotten staples to damage the scanner's paper path. The three step dust prevention method of the DR-X10C ensures clean and clear images by preventing dust to accumulate and adhere to the sensor glass.

Advanced image processing features of the Canon DR-X10C document scanner are built in, such as Auto Colour Detection, Auto Page Size Detection, Deskew, Skip Blank Page, Text Orientation Recognition, Colour Dropout (R/G/B/Custom), Moiré Reduction, Prevent Bleed Through / Remove Background, Punch Hole Removal, and more.

The intuitive front panel of the Canon DR-X10C allows the operator to program job keys with scanner settings for common scan jobs, minimizing efforts and mistakes, hence increasing efficiency.

Other features of the Canon DR-X10C document scanner are selectable background, black or white, to suit different documents and applications. For throughput the feeder input of the Canon  DR-X10C can be set to three positions, 100, 300 and 500 sheets, depending on the batch sizes. Pre or post imprinters are available as options for the Canon DR-X10C document scanner, usually used to print a string of characters on the scanned document to verify that is has been scanned.

The DR-X10C document scanner comes bundled with CapturePerfect, Canon's own scanning application for scanning straight out of the box. The user-friendly software interface provides a wide choice of file saving formats such as searchable and encrypted PDF, Scan to Mail, Scan to Presentation, and more.
